APPOINTMENT OF NEW 9-1-1 BOARD MEMBER

October 23, 2019 - The Harris County Mayors’ and Councils’ Association appointed Mark Denman, Mayor of Nassau Bay to represent the Municipalities on the Greater Harris County 9-1-1 Emergency Network (GHC 9-1-1) Board of Managers—effective October 1, 2019.

“GHC 9-1-1 is looking forward to Mr. Denman’s contributions as a Board Member representing the municipalities throughout our service area.” said Lavergne Schwender GHC 9-1-1 Executive Director.

Mr. Denman participated in his first GHC 9-1-1 Board Meeting on October 23, 2019 and was introduced as a Board member at the monthly meeting of the Harris County Mayors’ and Councils’ Association on October 17, 2019.

Mr. Denman brings his experience in public service including his role as a council member to the City of Nassau Bay from 2002 – 2011, and he has represented the City of Nassau Bay as mayor since 2012. Mr. Denman has participated on numerous committees and is looking forward to working with the GHC 9-1-1 Board of Managers and learning about the advancements taking place in emergency communications to ensure that 9-1-1 calls are delivered with the most enhanced technology available.
